After losing my mom at 3 years old and surviving childhood sexual abuse, I developed disordered eating at a young age, alternating from anorexic tendencies and overexercising to binge eating. So much of my identity was tied up in hating the way I looked. It took me decades to realize:
You can’t hate your way to happy.
A divorce and breast cancer diagnosis in my 30s fueled my determination to heal. I dove headfirst into learning everything I could about diet culture, fat phobia, and how body image impacts every part of our lives. The more research I did, the more I understood why all the deprivation and self-hate hadn’t worked. First, I had to rewire my thoughts.
I began to reject the idea that my weight was holding me back. That shift opened so many doors to things I never thought I could have, things that were available to me all along—and that are available to you, too.
Now I’m on a mission to help more women do the inner work, so you can stop waiting and live the life you want TODAY.
