In case no one's told you before, your value has nothing to do with your appearance.

Bodies change, weight fluctuates, but you’re always worthy of respect. If you want to lose weight, you can do it in an empowering way that doesn’t rely on shame or deprivation.

Hey,

I spent most of my life believing I needed to look a certain way before I could have what I wanted.

After losing my mom at 3 years old and surviving childhood sexual abuse, I developed disordered eating at a young age, alternating from anorexic tendencies and overexercising to binge eating. So much of my identity was tied up in hating the way I looked.

It took me decades to realize: You can’t hate your way to happy.

A divorce and breast cancer diagnosis in my 30s fueled my determination to heal. I dove headfirst into learning everything I could about diet culture, fat phobia, and how body image impacts every part of our lives. The more research I did, the more I understood why all the deprivation and self-hate hadn’t worked. First, I had to rewire my thoughts.

I began to reject the idea that my weight was holding me back. That shift opened so many doors to things I never thought I could have, things that were available to me all along—and that are available to you, too.

Now I’m on a mission to help more women do the inner work, so you can stop waiting and live the life you want TODAY.

So what do you say, babe?

A few of my favorite things: Dogs, sleeping in, margaritas, and Mexican food.

Fun fact: I held a world
record when I was 11 for deep-sea fishing in the kingfish category.

I firmly believe that…cereal is an acceptable meal at any time of day.

As a white woman, it’s important for me to acknowledge that Black women started the body positive movement, and that different groups of people experience marginalization in different ways.
